How does your work relate to the theme connection?
“The 'Fragments of Sappho' works celebrate enduring themes of queer devotion and connection. 'Fragments for Sappho' calls on the lost historical pillars of queer love that inform the legacies of sexual- identity, innate understanding through shared lived experience and the breadth of queer community. The queer and trans community has a storied past of adornments that signal identity to other individuals within understanding and jewellery has always held a strong foothold in those signalling tools.
The works are devotional in nature to the legacy of Gay women in antiquity that transcends two thousand years."

What role does connection play in your creative process?
“Connection is entirely central to my practice both in practicality and in spirit. In the field of metal work you're connecting matierals of varying mineralities and chemical compositions and the emotional side of that dynamic is not at all lost on me. Playing with the power of connection forges forward a new way of adorning our communities and empowering self expression throughshared history."
What connection(s) does your queerness make to the world around you?
“My entire world is queer, my friends, my coworkers, my lover, my art, my body and my references are all steeped in queer experience and expression. 'Fragments of Sappho' leans into the legacy of intrinsic care among queer community and the enduring nature of our devotion to community care."
