“‘her' pendant - made of copper, natural leather, and rubber cord is not just a decorative accessory, but also a space for exploring the female body by the woman herself. This work is deeply rooted in a woman's relationship with her own body and in the examination of changes that occur through the absorption of substances from cosmetics, sweat and other factors. The pendant's leather becomes a kind of canvas on which these metamorphoses are recorded, thus emphasizing the femininity and dynamism of the body. The pendant can be worn in two ways: during the exploration of one's own body, bringing leather close to skin, or conversely, highlighting the changes and evolution of the body that are recorded on its surface, sharing her story to others.”
How does your work relate to the theme transformation— How does the work translate joy into strength?
"My work embodies the theme of transformation in a profound way. Pendant offers a space for personal discovery and empowerment via the exploration of the female body. It's not only an adornment; it's established platform for understanding the dynamic changes women undergo. The pendant's composition, particularly the leather, serves as a tangible representation of these metamorphoses. From the absorption of substances like cosmetics and sweat to the natural evolution of the body, each change is etched onto the pendant's surface. This process not only celebrates femininity but also highlights the resilience and dynamism of the female form. Moreover, the versatility of wearing the pendant underscores its significance. Whether worn intimately against the skin during self-exploration or proudly displayed to share one's story with others, it symbolizes the journey of self-awareness and transformation. Recognising joy in transformation of the body, my work empowers women to embrace and celebrate the strength of their bodies as they evolve."

"In my work, I explored the use of materials by delving into the exploration of my own body and seeking out appropriate substances-absorbing skin. The skin utilized was repurposed remnants from previous projects."
